Q&A: Highlighting Minnesota's Junior Duals Team and Growing Wrestling Across the State.

Q: We were asked at Minnesota/USA Wrestling... Where from across the state did the kids that were selected for the Junior duals team come from?

A: We had tremendous representation from all across the state on this year's junior duals team. 43 kids participated and 25 of them represent outstate Minnesota.

In the northern part of the state, we had kids from Brainerd and Thief River Falls. To the west, we had participants from KMS, Willmar, Marshall, Hutchinson, Kimball, HLWW, and Watertown. In the south-central part, we had JCC and Albert Lea. In the Southeast, we had wrestlers from Chatfield, Rochester Mayo, P-E-M, Goodhue, and Zumbrota-Mazeppa. Kids from the outer metropolitan area included Chisago Lakes, New Prague, and Hastings.

From the Twin Cities area, we had kids from Wayzata, Rosemount, Farmington, Maple Grove, Mounds View, Woodbury, Simley, STMA, Stillwater, and Eagan.

We at MN/USA are striving to grow wrestling in our state, and the representation indicates we have families and clubs interested in freestyle and greco opportunities, as well as participating in national level trips.

Coming up next is the 16U and Junior Nationals in Fargo. Sign up before Tuesday, June 25th for your opportunity to represent Team MN! “Your path to success starts with MN/USA Wrestling” #mnusawrestling #mnstorm
