Fargo, ND – July 17, 2024: The three-day men’s freestyle tournament concluded on Wednesday evening with impressive results for Team Minnesota. The team saw eight wrestlers achieve All-American status, highlighted by Landon Robideau's victory, earning him a Junior National Championship title.
All eight Minnesota wrestlers emerged victorious in their medal matches. The standout performances included:
Overall, the Junior team secured a 4th place finish in team points, trailing behind Pennsylvania, New Jersey, and California. With a total of 84 points, they surpassed Illinois, Arizona, and Oklahoma. This marks the first time since 2017 that they have achieved a top 4 finish.
The tournament will take a break on Thursday before resuming with Greco-Roman events on Friday. The Greco-Roman championship finals are scheduled for Saturday, wrapping up a week filled with high-caliber wrestling.
