MN/USA Wrestling’s Junior Greco Team Finishes 3rd at National Duals in Milwaukee

MILWAUKEE, WI – June 14, 2025 – Minnesota/USA Wrestling proudly announces a 3rd place national finish for Minnesota Blue at the Junior Greco-Roman National Duals, held for the first time ever in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. This year’s event featured 34 top teams from across the country, making it one of the most competitive Greco tournaments in the nation.

Minnesota Blue put together a dominant performance in the championship rounds, showcasing depth, toughness, and technical skill throughout the tournament. After commanding wins over Alabama (53-13), Missouri (50-14), Michigan (45-22), Iowa (46-21), and California Blue (36-28), they fell just short in a battle against Utah (37-28). The team bounced back to close out the tournament in dominant fashion with a 55-13 win over Oklahoma, securing 3rd place overall.

Minnesota Red, full of emerging talent, battled their way into the Copper/Bronze bracket and gained valuable national experience. With victories over Louisiana and Oregon, they ultimately finished 16th in the nation.

Up Next: Junior Freestyle Begins Friday
Minnesota’s focus now shifts to freestyle, which begins Friday and concludes Saturday. MN Blue enters Pool D as the #3 seed behind Iowa and Indiana Gold. MN Red opens with a round-of-16 match against North Dakota, with a chance to face #2 overall seed Utah with a win.
