Dear MN/USA Wrestling Family,
I hope this letter finds you well and ready for what promises to be another outstanding season of Minnesota wrestling. As the newly elected chairperson, it is my honor to welcome you all back to the mat. The MN/USA Board and I are energized and committed to building on the incredible tradition of wrestling in our state.
We have already seen some impressive results to kick off the year, including strong performances from Minnesota wrestlers at the Brian Keck Preseason Nationals and Super 32s. This is just a glimpse of the talent and hard work that will be on display throughout the season.
As the 2025-2026 season gets underway, we are excited to reflect on a remarkable past year and share our vision for the future of wrestling in Minnesota. The dedication and passion of our athletes, coaches, officials, and families continue to elevate our sport and produce outstanding results on and off the mat. We are excited about the upcoming season and grateful for your continued support and dedication. Together, we can continue to foster a vibrant and successful wrestling community.
As the Chairperson for MN/USA Wrestling, I would like to reflect on our collective journey and to express my sincere gratitude for your unwavering support and dedication. The commitment you've shown—from the wrestlers who put in the daily sacrifice, to the coaches who guide them, the parents who encourage them, and the officials who ensure fair competition—is what makes our community so special.
This past season, we saw a 10% increase in athletes and 15 new USA Wrestling chartered clubs. These successes are not the result of one person's effort but a true testament to the teamwork and passion that defines us. Our wrestlers have not only achieved success on the mat but have also demonstrated the core values of this sport: discipline, respect, and perseverance. We will continue to build upon our strong foundation and create an environment where every wrestler can thrive and reach their full potential.
To the MN/USA Board members and employees who give their time tirelessly, thank you for being the backbone of our organization. To the parents, thank you for entrusting us with your children and supporting their growth both as athletes and as people. And to our wrestlers, thank you for your hard work and for embracing the process—the struggles and the victories—that make you stronger.
Our mission is to continue growing the sport and fostering a supportive, respectful community for all. We can't do it without you.
See you on the mat,
Jon A. Mikolyzk, Chairperson MN/USA Wrestling
