Minnesota/USA Wrestling Scholarship & Grant Program
Overall Purpose of the Program:
Our Mission is to help grow wrestling in Minnesota. The purpose of the scholarship and grant program is to remove barriers to the great sport of wrestling, grow the sport, and provide a way for Minnesota/USA Wrestling to give back to the athletes and communities we serve.
Scholarship Program:
MN/USA Wrestling believes that ALL wrestlers in our state should be able to participate in wrestling despite their family’s income bracket. The purpose of the scholarship program is to offer individuals and families financial assistance to help support an athlete in their pursuit of wrestling at the highest level. The program can help subsidize USA Wrestling Membership Fees and/or help with MN/USA National Dual Teams (boys, girls, 14u, 16u, and Junior FS/GR) and boys/girls Fargo FS/GR National Team expenses.
Grant Program
This program supports the MN/USA Wrestling mission to advocate, promote, coordinate, and provide quality opportunities for its members to achieve their full human and athletic potential. The purpose of the grant program is to provide financial awards to programs, clubs, organizations, or coalitions, to fund a program or project that aims to provide wrestling opportunities to the youth of Minnesota.
How is the Program Funded?
Scholarships and Grants are made possible by the raffles we hold at our state tournaments as well as through funds raised by our Scholarship and Grant Committee.
GREAT PRIZES! How can you participate?
Raffle tickets will be sold at each of the 5 regional folkstyle tournaments, as well as the folkstyle State Tournament. The raffle will conclude with the drawing at the State tournament during the finals of 14U and 16U on Sunday night. You DO NOT need to be present to win.
