Athlete Membership
Welcome to the 2024-2025 Wrestling Season!!
If a member is unsure of their USA membership number or needs help, please email membership director, Amie Engels at aengels@mnusawrestling.org DO NOT create a new Profile in the system as that will also create another member number for the individual.
Individual Membership
Athletes - $60
- Kids through Junior level
- NOTE - if an athlete will turn 18 during the 2024-2025 season they will need to complete the Safe Sport training before they can purchase their Membership Card and will need to purchase their card on-line.
USA Wrestling Membership Insurance Information
Members of USA Wrestling are provided with secondary sports accident coverage for injuries sustained in covered activities. To file a sports accident claim, go to www.usawmembership.com/profiles and select Insurance Claims.
Wrestling Leaders
Wrestling Leader Membership - $80
- Membership is for Leaders, Coaches, Mat and Pairing officials

You must have your Wrestling Leader Membership if you are coaching in practice and open tournaments.

- Wrestling Leader membership (TO COACH) requires:
- Background check
- SafeSport Certification
- Coaching Certification (1-time completion)
- Heads Up Concussion
- Background Check
- Approved background screenings are valid for two (2) membership seasons (current season plus the next membership season)
- Please allow at least 7 to 14 days for background check to be completed
- Required Safe Sport Certification
- MUST BE COMPLETED EVERY YEAR
- Completed in the USA Membership system and the results are posted immediately after the course is completed.
- Required Coaching Certification
- You will need to have a current Wrestling Leader membership in order to purchase a Coach Certification course.

- Your Coaching Certification is good for life and only have to complete them once.
- Copper: designed for coaching ages 12u and below
- Bronze: designed for coaching ages 13+
- Silver: designed to provide and develop advanced training
- Gold: designed for coaches to "give back"

DO NOT wait until the week before State to get your membership as you may not get it in time!

- To Charter a Club USA Wrestling now requires that the person listed as the Club Director MUST be a current members of USA Wrestling and be over the age of 18.

Instructions for coaching at MNUSA State Tournaments
In order to be in the coaches corner mat-side or to have any engagement with referees or table workers, SafeSport and USA Wrestling require all individuals to be properly certified. Click on the Link for a step by step guide on the requirements.
How to add a profile picture to membership card for PARENTS
All wrestlers must have a profile picture uploaded to their USA Wrestling Membership Profile.
Profile pictures should only feature the individual and be similar to a photo ID, passport, driver license, or yearbook photo – no sunglasses, hat, headgear, etc.
The profile picture shall be in color and be oriented vertically.
All pictures submitted go through a manual approval process, and if a profile picture is rejected by USA Wrestling, the member will be notified by e-mail.
