Originally from Moorhead, Minnesota and moved to Apple Valley, Minnesota the summer before my Junior year of High School and graduated from Apple Valley High School in 2009. Four-time State place winner, and two-time State Champion (4th, 3rd, 1st, 1st). Went on to wrestle at Old Dominion University where I was a NCAA qualifier at 141lbs, and finished with a record of 2-2, taking out the 11th seed first round. Eventually finishing my career at North Dakota State, where I graduated with a Physical Education Degree, and recently a Health Education Degree.

Currently, I am a Health and Physical Education teacher at Apple Valley High School and am the Head Cross Country Coach in the Fall, and Assistant Wrestling Coach in the winter. I have been married since October of 2019 to my wife Katie, and we have a daughter Jovie, who was born April of 2021.

Greco-Roman wrestling has been a passion of mine since I was in Junior High and competed for the Storm at the Schoolboy Duals. I placed 4th at Fargo as a Cadet, Runner Up as a first year Junior, and Fargo Champion as a second year Junior. At the Fila Junior level (U20’s), I was 3rd place, 2nd place, 2nd place, and won the Fila Junior World Team Trials in 2009, but fell in a special wrestle off for the World Team.

After college I competed with the Senior level Storm team under Coach Chandler and Coach Paulson. I competed at 59 kilograms and won the Last Chance Olympic Trials Qualifier, putting me through to the 2016 Olympic Trials. Continued wrestling into 2017, where I eventually ended up finishing my career due to head injuries.

I have been coaching with the Minnesota Storm Juniors & Cadets since 2010, and have been coaching at Cadet Duals since 2016, only missing this past year due to teaching. I also am blessed to coach at the Pinnacle School of Wrestling, where under Coach Brandon Paulson and Jared Lawrence, I am able to sharpen my craft. I am very honored to be offered and accept this role as the State coach of Minnesota Greco and to carry of the wonderful tradition of Greco-Roman wrestling this State has. #GoGreco
